Frequently Asked Questions

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Profile → Delete account inside the app. This permanently deletes your account and all your data. This action cannot be undone.

Can't open the app? See the account deletion page for an email-based request you can send from the address tied to your account.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by Satoru™ directly. To cancel, go to your device's subscription settings:

iPhone/iPad: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Satoru → Cancel Subscription.

Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Satoru → Cancel.

I lost my mood data. Can it be recovered?

Your mood data is stored in your Satoru™ account in the cloud, so it should persist across devices and reinstalls as long as you log in with the same account. If data is missing, email us and we'll investigate.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login screen, tap Forgot Password and enter your email. You'll receive a password reset link. If you signed up with Apple or Google, use those sign-in options instead.

Is my mood data private?

Yes. Your mood entries are stored securely in your account and are never shared or sold to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How does encryption work?

Everything you write (journal entries and conversations with guides) is encrypted on your device before it is saved, using a key that lives on your phone. Our servers store only the encrypted form and cannot read it. Check-in scores are stored as plain numbers so your charts and insights stay fast.

By default, Satoru™ keeps a protected copy of your key, secured by Google Cloud Key Management Service, so signing in on a new phone restores your journal automatically. If you'd rather hold the only copy, turn on self-managed keys under Settings → Advanced → Manage encryption key. We delete our copy, and you export a .satoru-key file protected by a password you choose. Keep that file safe: without it, what you've written cannot be recovered on a new device.

Does Satoru™ work offline?

Satoru requires an internet connection to save and sync your mood entries. Offline support may be added in a future update.

I have a feature request. How do I share it?

We'd love to hear it! Email us at support@satoru.ink with your idea. We read every message.
